Expressions of Interest NOW OPEN

The Aquaculture for the future program supports Western Australian aquaculture operators to be better future ready.

This program has been designed in response to the needs of the evolving WA aquaculture industry. It provides subsidised, expert-informed training to help businesses strengthen strategic planning, manage risk, and build long-term resilience. It’s a valuable opportunity for businesses to connect with peers, learn from experts, and plan for a thriving future.

Program format

The program begins with a virtual introductory webinar for all participants on 10 September. Following this, participants will attend one of three in-person, two-day training workshops, held at different locations across WA. These workshops offer hands-on learning tailored to business contexts. After the workshops, participants will continue with online self-paced learning until mid-Oct and will have the option to receive one-on-one coaching to support their ongoing development until the end of the year.

Program highlights

  • Flexible and inclusive training designed to meet the unique needs of WA aquaculture businesses
  • Support to (re)develop a future ready farm business plan
  • Access to in-person and online workshops, self-paced modules, additional fit-for-purpose resources, and one-on-one business coaching
