Fisheries Research and Development Corporation (FRDC)
FRDC invests in research, development and extension activities to increase economic, social and environmental benefits for Australian fishing and aquaculture and the wider community.
Department of Agriculture Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF)
DAFF maintains and creates agricultural export opportunities, to provide gains for Australian agriculture, fishing and forestry. Including managing biosecurity risks and engaging with international counterparts. Reinforcing Australia’s role in shaping how the global agriculture and fibre sector addresses food security, productivity, trade, sustainability and the impacts of climate change.
Oysters Australia (OA)
Oysters Australia Limited (OA) is a national body that was formed in 2011 by Australia’s community of oyster growers. The primary purpose of OA is to manage a program of research, development, and extension for the benefit of the Australian oyster industry.
Pearl Consortium
The Pearl Consortium IPA was established in 2011. The IPA is headed by the Paspaley Group that represents a consortium of eight pearling companies that have co-invested directly with FRDC to improve existing production methods and develop new technologies.

Australian Abalone Growers’ Association (AAGA)
The peak body for the Australian farmed abalone industry. We facilitate the profitable and sustainable development of abalone farming in Australia.
Australian Barramundi Farmers’ Association (ABFA)
The ABFA was formed in 1993. Since then, it has played a key role in the development and expansion of the Australian farmed barramundi industry.
